This mailing list is for site administrators, list administrators, list moderators, and other parties interested in the operations and maintenance of the Mailman mailing list management system, as provided for download via the resources shown at http://www.list.org/download.html. There is a separate mailing list for people interested in discussion about development of the system - mailman-developers. Unofficially, we will try to provide what support we can for versions of Mailman that come from other sources (e.g., vendor-provided binary packages, vendor-provided pre-installed software, etc...), but there will be a limit to the level of support that we can provide for versions of Mailman other than those which were built directly from code downloaded directly from the resources shown at http://www.list.org/download.html. You might want to start by reading the Mailman FAQ. Also check out the official searchable archives. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE READ ALL THE RELEVANT FAQ ENTRIES, ARCHIVE MESSAGES, ETC... BEFORE POSTING ANY QUESTIONS TO THE LIST -- ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING A VERSION OF MAILMAN THAT COMES FROM AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE. If you want to report a bug on Mailman, or scan previously reported bugs, please use the SourceForge bug page. You might also want to visit the Mailman home page for more information. This mailing list is closed to postings from non-subscribers. If you are already subscribed to the list from another address, you can subscribe again with additional addresses and then set them to NOMAIL, so that you continue to receive all your copies of postings to the mailing list at your preferred address, while able to post from multiple addresses. Also note that all posts made to the list will be publicly archived. In order to protect the integrity of the list archives, we do not routinely agree to remove or obscure posts that are in the archives. We only do this in exceptional circumstances such as if someone has posted personal/private information about someone else, or an obviously private e-mail has accidentally been posted to the list. The Mailman Security Policy is detailed in FAQ 1.27. Before posting any messages to this mailing list, please make sure that you have read and understood this policy. Using Mailman-Users
To post a message to all the list members, send email to mailman-users@python.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Mailman-Users
Subscribe to Mailman-Users by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
