In the UI refactoring we made the old, somewhat useless search facility go away. Instead of hooking in our own fully-featured full-text index to cover title, descriptions, keywords, etc. we chose to just use Google search limited to the cheeseshop.python.org domain.

Yep, this appears to be related to using mod_python (the content type was being handled correctly back in the cgi-bin days). There's an issue open in the pydotorg tracker (sorry, the specific ticket number is in my other mailer), but thus far no-one has really looked into it. I guess we need a mod_python expert...
