ON ALL PAGES

- top-right: register for the conference / search the site
- top-left: EP Logotype
- top-right: a rotating banner with a link to sponsors.
- top: horizontal navigation menu (level 1 items) split up in target 
groups (for instance: SPEAKERS, VISITORS, etc.)
- bottom: information footer, copyright, contact info.

FRONT PAGE
---------------------
- center-left: teaser images: photos of Göteborg, Chalmers, speakers, 
... (possibly rotating if needed)
- center-right: latest news / events
- bottom-left: static information text (WHAT / WHO , ....) under the photos

LEVEL 2, 3, ...
----------------------
- center-left: vertical navigation menu (level 2 items)
- bottom-left: gold sponsors (?) - not rotating but images placed 
locally in various sections.
- center: main content area for text, images, tracks, etc...

LEVEL 2, 3, ... (without left menu)

- center: main content area (used for registration / search results, etc...)

the layout is not implemented yet, but all the pieces are ready. A 
prototype will be available next week with some dummy content.
