It would be helpful to know whether the CPU utilization is pylab-specific. I suspect the trouble may be there.<div><br></div><div><font color="#888888">Evan</font></div></blockquote><div><br></div></div><div>I get 100% utilization on one of my cores if I just start `ipython-qtconsole` using EPD 7.1 64 bit distribution on Windows 7. So unless Enthought altered `C:\Python27\Scripts\ipython-qtconsole` to trigger pylab by default, I don't think pylab is involved.</div>
