Like IronPython <a href="http://ironpython.codeplex.com/releases/view/54498" style="text-decoration: underline; color: rgb(62, 98, 166); ">2.7</a>, this release <b>requires .NET 4 or Silverlight 4.</b> This release will replace any existing IronPython installation.<br>
<br>The biggest improvement in IronPython 2.7.1 is support for the unicodedata, csv, and ats modules. The other Python standard library modules have been upgraded to match Python 2.7.2.<br><br>There has also been a number of bug fixes to make IronPython generally more compatible with CPython.<br>
<br>Finally, the IronPython Tools for Visual Studio have been deprecated in favour of the <a href="http://pytools.codeplex.com/" class="externalLink" style="text-decoration: underline; color: rgb(62, 98, 166); ">Python Tools for Visual Studio<span class="externalLinkIcon"></span></a>.<br>
