Summary: allow posters from another list
Initial Comment:
I have several related lists, each member of which
should
be able to post to the other lists. I'd like to see an
enhancement
to the 'posters' option so that a poster which starts
with an
@ would be assumed to be the description of a list, and
if the poster is a member of that list, he will be
allowed to
submit the post without being held for approval.
For example, the faculty list would allow posting by
members
of the faculty list and @staff, and the staff list by
its members plus @faculty .

I support this request. Here is another example for using
this feature. I am involved in some (not-for-profit)
organizations. Typically such an organization has a board
and some committees.
It has a mailing list for all (and only) the members, and
also additional lists for the board and each of the
committees.
You want the privacy setting on the board/committee lists to
allow posting by all respective board/committee members
without moderation. Furthermore, I want to allow
unmoderated posting to the board/committee lists by all
members, i.e. subscribers to the main members list.
Only the respective board/committee members have access to
the archive of their board/committee. Other members have no
such access.
Is there a simple way to realize this in the current Mailman
version?

In majordomo this could be configured by specifying a list
of files that were extra people who could post. It was
useful in that fashion, and also for posters who used
multiple accounts. Right now in mailman I think I'd have to
add a fake user with email turned off to cover multiple
accounts.
