Our next OPy meeting will have a more general topic that should appeal
to pretty much any Python programmer. Matt Blaha will be presenting
on two standard Python libraries: optparse and subprocess. The
optparse library is used to easily parse command-line arguments for
programs (so there will be no excuse for hard-coding option values in
your scripts ;). The subprocess library gives you the ability to run
external programs from Python and capture the output in various ways.

The meeting will be held in the large seminar room on the first floor
of the Stevenson Research & Tech Center at noon on April 29, 2008.
