   Found and fixed the problem. When I restored from tape to the new -12.2
installation, libfreetype-3.6.8 was added to the -3.6.18 already there. That
got everyone confused.

   Now gtk imports into interactive python, wxGTK builds, and so does
tinyerp-client.
