I'm unable to reproduce with --opt=2 or --opt=3 (./pypy-c translate.py --
output=pypy-c.3 --opt=3 targetpypystandalone.py), so this seems to be an issue 
only when using the jit. I'll test without all of the extra options to the 
translator as well once it finishes translating.
