Any suggestions?</div></blockquote></div><br>Please file a bug report at <a href="http://bugs.python.org">bugs.python.org</a> stating this. urllib2 tries to follow the RFC as much as possible, but ofcourse consider's de-facto standards and adopts to it. This can be documented for 2.x and can be 'fixed in 3.4.</div>
