<p dir="ltr">This sounds like a reasonable plan to me (I've been keen to have pip do this on the Linux side of things for a while).</p>
<p dir="ltr">If the pip team were willing to start down this path, changing the default in 3.5 next year might still be cutting things a little fine. While I think it's worth aiming for that, I also wouldn't see it as a big deal if the change slipped to 3.6 in 2017.</p>
