==Proposal ==
Event Date: Fri, 06/14/2019
Grant Type: Conference
Grant Title: 5th annual PyCon CZ (June 14–16, 2019)
Objective:
PyCon CZ aims to be the largest annual gathering for the Python community in
the Czech Republic.
We expect 350-450 attendees at this year's event. We are focused on honoring
and supporting awesome people teaching, learning and innovating with Python
in Czech Republic and surrounding European countries.
This year we will continue to push the expansion of diversity in IT and the
CZ Python community at large.

We would appreciate receiving the funding well before the conference
(possibly March?), so that we can pay upfront costs, but it's not a hard
deadline. Conference is on June 14–16, 2019.

Grant Amount:
€3500eur or €3000eur would be amazing. €3000 is what we were granted
last year. Our primary goal is to keep ticket prices as low as possible to
maximize attendance from students and other non-professionals. The grant
money will be used to cover fixed venue costs and on-site catering for
attendees.

In turn we are offering as in years past to list PSF logo as a Gold Sponsor
on our website and intermission slide-deck, display your roll-up at the venue
and offer 6 tickets for you to use or redistribute as you see fit. We will
also make an announcement of your sponsorship on our twitter and facebook
channels.
Beneficiaries:
This grant is for the Pyvec, the largest and most active
Python community in Czech Republic; Pyvec has 2000+ followers on twitter and
facebook; 150+ participants in our slack channel; over the past few years we
have organized more than 210 community meetups, 20+ workshops, 20+
long-running courses and support many additional community activities like
Pyladies and DjangoGirls; all free, of course.

The conference is expected to be attended by 350-450 people, last year we had
400. Due to its new location in a tri-country border region of Ostrava, it's
expected to draw upon a diverse European audience.
Follow-up activities: We will be happy to post you back a summary of the
event and how the money was used. We also plan to follow-up with blog post on
