No, no, not at all! I'm not saying that WSH is better, but one advantage is
that you can support VBScript and JScript (because many customers will
insist on that) but also support Python and Perl without additional effort.
On projects where your boss insists on VBScript support, WSH actually helps
Python.
If you are building apps alone and for yourself, WSH doesn't make sense, but
for bigger comercial apps, WSH is great: the "dummies" get their VBScript
support, and you get Python support ;)
