Q. on Introduction to Tkinter

Hello,
In chapter 5 (Widget Configuration) I'm a bit confuse about the
paragraph following
the word widgetclass. At the in of the paragraph there is this sentence,
"Note that the
'name' option can only be set when the widget is created." Does "name"
refer to
the 'option = value" pair? Second,  If one does not define an "option =
value" at creation
of the widget, does that mean you can not use config () to set the value
later?
