Suggestion - don't make sarcastic comments (or try to argue) when exhausted.
The simple fact is that you did make the statement, apparently as fact
(sarcasm can be hard to convey through text). I'm glad that when the
overwhelming response was that you were wrong, you were willing to go back
and re-examine things.
