FWIW, Mark, I'm with you on this one. Standardizing variable names
isn't exactly what I'd call a "deep" design decision. What's wrong
with asking experienced programmers what works best?
Speaking of which -- camelCase, definitely. Unless you want to allow
spaces in your variable names... :)
