I think the best way is to urge your friends/coworkers to try
it. Esp. if you are not in Open Source business, and your work is not
visible to public.

Still, there are masses of people out there who never hear of anything
that is not Java, C(++) or one of those Microsoft languages. It
wouldn't hurt to get some good buzz going in that audience.
