[Python-mode] Not able to load the pylab module

Dear all,
I'm not able to import a module anymore upon running a python script
from XEmacs. I was able to Ctrl-! and then Ctrl-c a script and run it
through the XEmacs editor, but for some reason I'm not able to do it
anymore because I can't load a module. If I import pylab from the shell
it works, but when I run the script from shell or through XEmacs it
doesn't find the module (well, I these problems with pylab and it might
be another issue...). So my question is how can I chose a specific
version of python rather than the one set by the environment (#!
/usr/bin/env python) or redefine the variable so it works? How can I
launch the interpreter (Ctrl-!) and using a previous version of python
(2.4 instead of 2.5)?
Thanks very much in advance!
Cheers,
Maximilian
