This is the first I've heard of CEDET though I've heard about some of  
the packages that make it up.  Sounds very interesting.  I'm sorry I  
don't have time to help develop code, but I will try to help with  
python-mode if possible.

FWIW, python-mode.el 5.1.0 works just fine in Emacs.  I use it 8+  
hours a day. :)
