Dear person:<br><br>There are lots of ways to encode and decode data. You'll need to provide some more information about the use you intend in order to get good advise. Do you just want to protect something from prying eyes on one workstation? How secure does it have to be? Are you sending the data to someone else, who must then decode it? Is it in some compressed format (like audio or picture) and you need to read and write it? Are you perhaps a terrorist with whom we prefer not to share information about cryptography, and thats why you don't have a name? Or do you only want to change a character string from one encoding to another?<br>
