Your best bet for automating iTunes is to use aeve:
	http://undefined.org/python/#aeve

I'm not sure if iPhoto is scriptable or not, but if it is then aeve 
would also be what you'd want to use.  If it's not scriptable, you 
probably can't really automate it anyhow.
