it should use the one you call it with...

> % python setup.py py2app

what do you get when you run:

which python

and:

python

this should assure you whether python_select is working.


you can also do:

python

 >>> import os
 >>> os.__file__
'/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/lib/python2.5/os.pyc'

that will tell you what python is actually being used.
