Not being able to redistribute parts of system python is totally understandable - it's not a very well-documented limitation, however. Here's a patch applied to head that describes this in the 'Building for deployment' section, and also corrects a misspelling in build_app.py that appears in py2app -h help pages.<div>

Does "OSX within VirtualBox isn't supported" mean :-<br>
<ul>
<li>It doesn't work ??</li>
<li>or, Apple don't allow you to run OS X in VB ??</li>
</ul>
<br>
I'm running OS X 10.6, and I would like to test my Python app bundle
on an OS X 10.5 box, so being able to have a VirtualBox install of
OS X 10.5 would be very handy :)<br>
Any idea why it "isn't supported" ??</div></blockquote><span> </span></div><div><br></div></div></div><div><span></span>I haven't used virtualbox, but the OSX license only allows you to run the server editions of OSX 10.5 or 10.6 in a virtual environment (and then only if the underlying physical server is an Apple machine). </div>
