[soc2008-general] Full Run-time serialisation

I am interested in participating at GSoC by implementing a feature to  
serialise and resume the full run-time code of basic python  
applications, such that existing pipes may be left intact and moved  
between computers. I believe that this could lead to advances in  
distributed-, and desktop computing with python. -- likely it would  
require improves in internal memory mapping, if that is a useful onset.

I would like to ask if anyone is aware of a project that might support  
my idea, or would wish to mentor it.
