[soc2008-general] Python Jabber Server

Hi Michael,

This would be very cool to have --- we'd like to integrate IM support into
DrProject, and I know other people who are building Python apps who'd like
to be able to serve chat. (Client libraries don't appear to be a
problem...) I'd be willing to be a mentor on this one; I believe Blake
Winton and David Janes would do so as well.

Have you taken a look at other Jabber server implementations, or spoken to
people who've built them? If so, are there ideas you'd like to borrow, or
mistakes you'd like to avoid? ;)

Thanks,
Greg Wilson
