[Spambayes] Slow filtering after installing Office XP SP3?

Has anyone else noticed that after installing Office XP SP3 on a system
running v .9 of the SpamBayes plug-in for Outlook against my IMAP inbox,
spam filtering now takes excessive amount of time?  When a new mail message
comes in, I have plenty of time to read it and erroneously think I need to
"delete as spam" before the filter moves it to my spam folder.  

First thing in the AM, when I might have 60 new messages (of which maybe
half are spam), the mail headers come in, then the bodies, then slowly, one
at a time, the spam is filtered out.
