[Spambayes] DEP against SpamBayes

Another stupid question from the peanut gallery, I'm afraid: What is
DEP?

In my part of the world (the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) it's
"Department of Environmental Protection". But I'll bet that's not what's
meant in this discussion.
