[Spambayes] Trimming a Junk Email folder

Sorry; I didn't understand the intent of your original message. (I'm
not sure Skip did, either.) I don't retain spam myself, because a) the
messages sent by spammers evolves over time as they seek to get around
the latest anti-spam techniques, b) SpamBayes is easy and quick to
train, and c) it's just one more thing to manage. If I think SpamBayes
isn't doing as good a job as I'd like, I just start over from scratch.
(That doesn't generally happen more than once or twice a year.) Within
a couple of days and a few dozen messages trained on I'm generally
getting satisfactory results.
Bottom line: I don't have any suggestions that address the question of
how to groom your spam. (Given my track record of late, I'm starting to
wonder if I'd be more use if I kept silent.)

Isn't it a waste, to delete the complete contents of the folder? After
all,
this folders presents e x a c t l y my notion of spam. Deleting the
contents meaning starting spambayes from scratch, and ignoring my unique
spam definition!
