[summerofcode] Info on MemoryUsageProfiler for Python

While doing some research on previous work being done on this project
idea, I stumbled across Vladimir Marangozov's Memory Allocator and
also "a somewhat rough, but working memory profiler".
(http://starship.python.net/crew/vlad/pymalloc/). Do the Python
veterans here have any more info on this? And why was this not
incorporated into Python then?
