<br><br>Your requirement that a group volunteer someone is definitely good. The only worry with that is whether that person will stay on. One of the reasons I mandated so many people for the python-dev tracker is just in case anyone walks off the job early. Now granted everyone I picked I either know personally or have already shown their level of dedication so I am not worried. But the same cannot be said about other projects.
<br><br>As for accepting more projects, if the guys say "sure", then I am all for it. We will most likely put in place some scheme for limiting what projects we pick up (we do not need to become the SF of the Python world). But I am sure something like annual voting at the PSF members meeting or having the PSF Infrastructure committee decide should be enough of a filter to keep things under control.
