Hey folks,

Jamu and I have started brain-storming on the topic of
"self-organizing object meshes" in earnest. I should clarify that it's
the brain-storming that's in earnest; who knows what will come of it
;-)

We've got a Google doc up right now, with a basic sketch of what we'd
like to accomplish, likely with more to come. So far, 9 patterns have
been identified for further experimental hacking. There are also 4
target environments currently identified. You can view the doc here:

https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AVGwpdQOa6W2ZGd4bjdqM3BfNmNzbXI5NmNm&hl=en

As the Google doc mentions, we'll be committing code to this project
on Launchpad:
  https://launchpad.net/txuls/

The "soom" (self-organizing object meshes) series is here:
  https://launchpad.net/txuls/soom

If you want to check out whatever code sketches we've managed to put
up, you will be able to do so with the following command:
  bzr branch lp:txuls/soom

If anyone feels like writing related code or wants to branch the stuff
we're working on, feel free to do so and push it with:
  bzr push lp:~YOURUSERNAME/txuls/YOURBRANCHNAME

Your code will be associated with the project automatically. If you
think it's something that can be merged into the soom series, follow
the link to your branch from https://code.launchpad.net/txuls and
click the "Propose for merging into another branch" link. If you have
any troubles or questions with this, be sure to email the list or ping
oubiwann or jkakar on freenode.

I'm moving back to Colorado this weekend, so I'll be offline for a couple days.

Catch ya later,

d
