You're right, an additional suffix like "dev" is probably useful. If someone said "I'm running 1.3.3", then WE would know that it's a dev version, but the USER might not.
Shall I open a PR or do you want to increment the version numbers directly?
If you would take a moment to find all the right places to change the version number, that would be great. It's one of those things where it's most annoying to miss something ;) Cheers, Michael
