Hello folks, I finally create my PR [1] to fix BIT's incompatibility with newer rsync versions [2]. All details can be found in the PR. IMHO it is final and stable. No need to treat it as a "Draft". But because of the possible high consequences and side effects I request you to do your own tests with that code. I still did manual systematic tests with different distros and rsync versions but of course I could have missed something. To do your own testings you have to clone from my fork and use the "fix/rsync1247" branch from it [3].
