Current project status
Hello together, I just want to give an update about the project status and our effort to get more involved in maintaining and developing BIT. I thought I wrote a mail like this to the mailing list earlier. But I couldn't find it in the archive. Didn't I informed you in the past? Sorry. Today we have in total 10 subscribes to the dev-bit mailing list. I tried to contact Germar (the current offical maintainer) via Email twice. I'm in "contact" with Germar for years and it is not unusual for him that it take some months to get an answer when it comes to BIT. Currently there is no answer. Michael tried it this week again with a very gentle and short and time saving mail to Germar. Let's see what happens. So that is a situation. And we still have some ideas about next steps to get in contact with Germar in a gentle way. Kind Christian
Dear Christian, Thanks for the status update. I for one will try to increase my involvement with the code as my time allows. While I can't make any promises, I'll just try to do my best. Thanks again for all the effort and keeping us up to date. Cheers, Hakan On 2.09.2022 11:56, c.buhtz@posteo.jp wrote:

Thanks, Christian! I haven't been very quick to close issues and merge PRs, but it's great to see that things are happening :) I have a lot to learn, but BiT is worth the effort! I'm looking forward to having more tests, which I hope will help us confirm bugs and make sure that PRs don't cause trouble. At the moment, I'm concentrating on small fixes and confirming bugs in a virtual machine. Thanks for all your time and contributions! It's very good to see a team forming :) Michael On 02.09.2022 10:56, c.buhtz@posteo.jp wrote:
