Python 3.6 no longer accept bugfixes, I don't think that it's worth it to investigate such flaky tests.
Stéphane Wirtel failed to reproduce the reference leak manually.

Before you close this issue, I have also tested with the last gentoo (via docker) and I could not confirm the issue. Maybe because the worker is an old version of Gentoo (glibc, etc...).

regrtest -m 3:3 is very fragile. We spent a lot of time to stabilize tests and fix regrtest in master. We cannot backport any bugfix to 3.6 anymore.
