Request to add isort to the PyCQA
Dear PyCQA members, I am formally requesting that isort be added to PyCQA. I've contemplated the steps needed to help ensure the vitality of the isort project over the long term during the last few years. And, I feel, moving under the umbrella of PyCQA would be a significant step in the right direction, both for isort and the broader community. The repository for the project currently lives here: https://github.com/timothycrosley/isort I'm happy to answer any questions, and appreciate the consideration, ~Timothy
I've sent you an invite to the organization. I think once you accept it that you _might_ be able to transfer the repository without issues since you own it. I haven't done this in so long that I can't remember what the dance looks like exactly anymore, but we can figure it out. It looks like I was able to move it over without any issues, thank you! And thank you for all you've done to build this community! Please let me know if there are any steps I should take to update the project to better conform to the organization or if there is anything I can do in general to help PyCQA. Thanks again! ~Timothy On Sun, Aug 23, 2020 at 2:30 PM Ian Stapleton Cordasco < graffatcolmingov@gmail.com> wrote:

Feel free to add some history to https://github.com/PyCQA/meta/blob/master/source/history.rst about isort etc. We haven't been super consistent on keeping that up-to-date but it'd be nice to include this addition in my opinion (along with the addition of python-modernize).
