That would work fine too; the main need here is that I have an external to a machine, but internal to the company, repo with packages that I need to get inserted into the chain, however that is best/easiest to make happen.

I looked around the code that makes pypi mirror work, I'm not sure I understand enough to even attempt changing that; I'll take a look at the replication stuff to see what that looks like.
