Unfortunately, we use Windows system and I can't generate config files with:

  devpi-server --gen-config

It's not the client that needs the proxy settings, but the devpi server.

Note that you need to add local (LAN) hosts to no_proxy depending on how
your internet gateway is set up (especially if it denies proxying for
internal addresses).
