Today is the IBM PC’s Birthday

Remember that cobbled together machine we spoke about in our history session? That accident of history that kickstarted the PC revolution? Well it was 41 years ago, today - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Personal_Computer Have a lovely weekend people :) Jason

Thanks for the link Jason, unbelievable :) I found the Bytes Magazine article from linked in the references also quite interesting https://archive.org/stream/byte-magazine-1981-07/1981_07_BYTE_06-07_Energy_C... It's kind of sad, however, that after making everything wrong and after some great inventions from small players in the personal computer field, IBM enters the game with it's sheer market power and wins the race. I was flipping through some issues of Byte Magazine around 1977 on archive.org and it seems to be an awesome read, by the way ;) Best, Robin --
