Thanks for organizing the DIPY workshop 2019. I am interested in attending the workshop and would like to ask if I need to bring on my laptop, and if there would be high-speed network at the workshop?

My name is Raven Hardy and I’m a Neuroscience PhD student at Emory University. I have registered for the training and paid for the hotel for training days; however, I do have a question. Since I am coming in from out of state, I will arrive Sunday is there any way to get accommodation assistance for the Sunday prior to the onset of the training?
Also, on the schedule, I see that breakfast and lunch are included and there will be a happy hour in the evening. Will meals also be provided during this time?
My final questions pertain to some of the training that we might receive, will there be any information on how to process ex vivo brain scans that were acquired in batches (i.e. several brains during one scanning session)? Also will there be information on the conversion of Bruker image files, format conversion or best practices for processing those types of images?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey I was just wondering what level of python proficiency is expected from those planning to attend the DIPY workshop next month? I have a lot of experience working with diffusion imaging and I really want to incorporate DIPY into our current pipeline, if not replace our current workflow entirely, however I have almost no experience with python. We mostly use shell scripts with some matlab/R worked in so I have some programming experience, just not with python. Will that be enough to get me by?
Also, related to that, is the instruction mostly lecture based or are these tutorials going to be hands on? Should we bring a laptop with data and software loaded up?
