?Hello all, Thank you for your interest in the DIPY workshop. We are excited to announce DIPY registration is now open !!! ?The DIPY project is hosting an educational workshop March 11-15 at Indiana University, USA. The event is sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH). See topics and detailed information here: https://workshop.dipy.orghttps://workshop.dipy.org/ The workshop will include tutorials on tracking, microstructure, and statistical analysis. The workshop will also include a data accelerator where you will be able to analyse your own data together with the DIPYhttp://dipy.org/ developers. More than 15 DIPY developers will be available this year on site to help. All tutorials will run on 3 levels: novice, intermediate and advanced. Register herehttps://workshop.dipy.org/.? For any questions, please send an e-mail to dipy@python.orgmailto:neuroimaging@python.org On behalf of the DIPY workshop organisers, Eleftherios Garyfallidis, Ariel Rokem, Serge Koudoro http://dipy.org/developers.html
The workshop looks great. A colleague said that he attended something
similar in the past for which registration was ~$100. Any chance a less
expensive workshop will be offered in future that I might send a junior
data analyst in my group to? Or if there are any travel award/
registration fee waiver programs he could apply for, that would be terrific.
Thanks much for any tips in advance,
Desmond

Hi Desmond,
Thank you for your interest to the DIPY workshop and your question. There
will be no less expensive DIPY workshops in the future. Our previous
seminars were at much smaller scale usually taking
place together with Brainhacks or other events. This is a 5 day hands on
workshop!
The DIPY workshop is actually less expensive than FSL, MRtrix etc although
we are teaching way more.
Consider this as a valuable investment and potentially more important than
sending your people to OHBM or ISMRM. Your people will learn A LOT and FAST!
There are no waivers or travel awards. NIH is sponsoring only long-term
DIPY contributors and these places are already filled.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards and Happy 2019!,
Eleftherios
