Registration Fee Waiver Request

Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Abeera Ajaz. I am currently in the finishing stages of my MS in Computational Science & Engineering at the School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Science (SINES), at the National University of Science & Technology (NUST), Pakistan. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of volunteering for the DIPY Workshop 2023, which will take place in California, on 24-28th April 2023. I am currently working on my Masters research on the structural differences in Cerebellum between ASD and non-ASD brains, and its effect on language processing. For this, I am using computational modeling techniques to make a 3D model of cerebellum for both ASD and Non-ASD people to compare and figure out the structural differences, if any. I am also planning to pursue similar research for my doctorate in Computational Neuroscience in the future. This workshop could be a great learning opportunity for me as well as a an excellent place to network with my peers. However, as a student from a low-income third-world country, I do not have sufficient personal funds to travel to and from California and pay the registration and accommodation fees. Moreover, my home university also does not provide funds for this. Therefore, I am looking to inquire about any volunteer opportunities during the workshop that could result in a registration fee waiver for me. I am very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop, and I believe that volunteering would be an excellent opportunity for me to gain new skills, network with professionals in my field, and learn about the latest research. I am confident that my passion for science, as well as my enthusiasm for the field, will be an asset to the workshop. I would be grateful if you could provide me with information on how to register as a volunteer and if there are any opportunities for me to receive financial assistance for my travel and participation in the conference. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Best regards, Abeera Ajaz MS Research Student Computational Biomechanics & Medical Image Analysis SINES, NUST
