Hey I was just wondering what level of python proficiency is expected from those planning to attend the DIPY workshop next month? I have a lot of experience working with diffusion imaging and I really want to incorporate DIPY into our current pipeline, if not replace our current workflow entirely, however I have almost no experience with python. We mostly use shell scripts with some matlab/R worked in so I have some programming experience, just not with python. Will that be enough to get me by? Also, related to that, is the instruction mostly lecture based or are these tutorials going to be hands on? Should we bring a laptop with data and software loaded up? Thanks, David A Hoagey Graduate Student Cognition and Neuroscience Ph.D The University of Texas at Dallas Center for Vital Longevity

No problem. Prior python knowledge is not required. There are other registered users who are familiar with Matlab and not Python. We will give pointers on the spot and cool ideas how to learn Python fast if you need and want.
Sounds great. We can help you with the transition during the workshop.
No problem.

Tutorials! Many! And some theoretical lectures. :)
Should we bring a laptop with data and software loaded up?
Absolutely! Bring your laptop and load it with data you want to try during the workshop. We have many people on site to help with data analysis.
Thanks,
