[DIPY] Diffusion Kurtosis parameters using MSDKI

HI DIPY Developers / Users, I would like to know how to calculate DKI parameters, e.g. axial kurtosis, radial kurtosis, KFA, using the newly MSDI method. Thanks. Ping

Hi Ping, Thanks for your email. There is an example of usage of that model here: https://github.com/nipy/dipy/blob/master/doc/examples/reconst_msdki.py Cheers, Ariel On Thu, Aug 15, 2019 at 2:38 PM Ping-Hong Yeh <pinghongyeh@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Ariel, Thank you for your reply. I wonder if radial kurtosis (RK) and axial kurtosis (AK) can be derived from MSDKI model as the same as standard DKI method. We got poor results of RK and AK using standard DKI, lots of signal-void voxels (see the attached). Thanks. Ping On Mon, Aug 19, 2019 at 8:43 AM Ariel Rokem <arokem@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Ping, Sorry: I missed that. I don't believe that AK/RK are computable with thiis model. Regarding your results with standard DKI, I believe that the newly introduced Gibbs un-ringing methods should help with that: https://github.com/nipy/dipy/blob/master/doc/examples/denoise_gibbs.py Cheers, Ariel On Mon, Aug 19, 2019 at 7:17 AM Ping-Hong Yeh <pinghongyeh@gmail.com> wrote:
