Is wheel for Python 2? I'm trying to build using 3.3a2, and I get:
At the moment, yes. I have yet to set up my tox environment to test in both, but https://bitbucket.org/dholth/cpython contains a (slightly older) version of it for 'packaging'.
Oops, that's wrong. It just contains some of the precursor work that was ported over to distribute.
