Dear people, I want to include a chapter on distributing applications with distutils in my upcoming book on PyQt GUI programming - I thought that a discussion of distributing apps really belongs in a book on GUI app development. However, I'm not an expert (until recently I just made a tarball for the few users brave enough to try my apps), and I'd like to subject the text to a technical review. No doubt I've made bloomers everywhere... It's meant to be a simple introduction to the difficulties associated with packaging Python apps and a cookbook approach to generate a Linux and Windows installation package of an application (no complex libraries to include or anything, just install the app in a place where it can be found, and put the application data in a sensible place). Is there someone who would like to go through the text? Boudewijn Rempt | http://www.valdyas.org
