What version are you using? The version on my PC works just fine, even if I add a space to the Scripts directory name:
Python 2.4.4 (#71, Oct 18 2006, 08:34:43) [MSC v.1310 32 bit (Intel)] on win32 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. easy_install-2.4.py (--help nor --version don't give additional version information). C:\Documents and Settings\pje-2>"c:\python23\scrip ts\easy_install"
error: No urls, filenames, or requirements specified (see --help)
Your python is still c:\python23, not "c:\python 23".
Ps. Could you please mention how to report easy_install/setuptools bugs in the
manual.
Thanks! This is quite well hidden information, you should advertise yourself a bit more. Also, people usually expect find to a real bug tracker, not just a discussion list as notable open source project as setuptools is. http://peak.telecommunity.com/DevCenter/setuptools#mailing-list
