On the contrary; .egg-info *is* an egg format; see the EggFormats documentation.
Sorry, when I said "egg-the-format" I was talking about ".egg" the directory: "directory or zipfile containing the project's code and resources, along with an EGG-INFO subdirectory that contains the project's metadata"... Tarek -- Tarek Ziadé | http://ziade.org
