if you install the x86-64 version of python, the windows installer "setuptools-0.6c11.win32-py2.6.exe" does not find any Python installation. This is a *Python* installer issue; Please see: http://bugs.python.org/issue6792 Until the issue in Python itself is fixed, the only things I can do are document the problem and/or stop distributing an .exe installer.
