[Distutils] Unix permissions of installed files

Hello, Depending on the users umask settings, or the accress rights of the files to be installed, users installing software have to invoke chmod to get access permissions rights corrected for some files. This is especially true for *.pth files which get no read permissions for world. This step is often forgotten by the users. Is there a distutils way to get this right, or do I have to to extend my setuppy's?
